Opinions behind future blog posts by Lydia

I have suffered fromm depression for over three years, and although it is a fairly important illness, you do get some kind of advantages (If you can call it that) from it. Awkwardness – I am immensely awkward. But do not confuse this with shyness, I am anything but shy. Speaking to crowds, preforming and standing out does not scare me. I am awkward, embarrassing and the person to say the thing people are holding back. I speak controversially a lot, and I am known to many of my friends as “Subtle Lyd”, sarcastically of course. Depression is, and probably always will be a big part of my life, but it makes me who I am today, and fuels my different opinions on music, film and news.
